New Works: Coffee Table
My client is a retired diplomat with the US State Department who has traveled extensively. He brought me a slab of marble that he had acquired in Ecuador, and asked me to build a coffee table around it.
I chose koi fish as the theme for the marquetry. This turned out to be appropriate as my client lives in a neighborhood with a large koi pond...more of a koi lake really. On the left is a design drawing, followed by the finished work below. Click on the pictures for more information.

Open Studio & Summer Sale27-28 June 2009
During the final weekend in June I will be offering select pieces for sale at prices that are 50% or more below the original price.
Gallery sales were way down last year. I have accumulated inventory that needs to find a home. Help me by adopting one of these pieces so that I can make new things. This is a one-time-only opportunity to purchase original work at bargain prices.
My shop will be open for the sale on Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 5pm. Contact me if you are interested in the sale but can not visit during those times, or if you have any questions. I will only do this once, so don't pass it up.
Here are some examples of what will be available for sale. These are in addition to the pieces I showed you in my previous newsletter. Click on the image to get more information. These are just a few of the pieces that will be on sale.
